Zhangjiajie National Park

This is Zhangjiajie National Park, and it is located in Hunan, China.

You might be wondering whether this is actually Pandora from Avatar. That’s because with a little help from CGI, these are the floating Hallelujah mountains you see in the film. Scenes from the 1986 version of Journey to the West were filmed here as well.

To get to the main attractions, you can travel via the 326-meter-tall glass Bailong Elevator.

When visiting Zhangjiajie, make sure to also pay a visit to “Heaven’s Door Mountain.” It’ll take you around 30 minutes by the world’s longest cable car ride, but it’s definitely worth the view.
