Have you ever heard of the spooky incident of the Forbidden City maids?

During a thunderstorm in 1992, a lightning bolt struck the Forbidden City. Suddenly, tourists saw images of several Qing dynasty palace maids walking along the red walls. News of this mysterious incident quickly spread, and many were perplexed by it.

Some experts explain that within the red walls of the Forbidden City, there is a chemical compound called black iron oxide. Similar to a cassette tape, it has the ability to capture imagery. So centuries ago, lightning might have struck the wall as palace maids were walking by, and now when lightning strikes again, these images reappear!

But even so, many chilling stories continue to spread about the Forbidden City, and some say that after 5pm, things get a bit eerie!
